Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Odoo Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo custom module development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, a good understanding of Django, and solid experience with PostgreSQL. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, and delivering high-quality customizations and integrations within the Odoo ERP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules such as Sales, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Manufacturing, and others
- Design and implement custom Odoo modules based on business requirements using Python
- Customize Odoo backend and frontend views, workflows, and QWeb reports
- Integrate Odoo with third-party systems using REST APIs, XML-RPC, and JSON
- Perform technical analysis, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and data structures
- Contribute to Django-based microservices or portals integrated with Odoo
- Implement proper security rules, access controls, and API structures
- Handle backend data management tasks including database creation and maintenance
- Conduct unit testing, support UAT, and manage deployments using Git
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts during requirement gathering and deployment
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all developments
- Perform rigorous testing, identify bugs, and ensure timely fixes
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management
Preferred Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Odoo module development (Odoo v18–v19 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Python (OOP concepts, standard libraries)
- Basic to intermediate experience with the Django web framework
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL (queries, optimization, stored procedures)
- Solid understanding of Odoo ORM, workflows, security rules, and business logic
- Experience with XML, QWeb templates, JavaScript, AJAX
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and front-end technologies
- Familiarity with Odoo.sh, Odoo Studio, and Odoo Enterprise APIs
- Experience with Git and version control best practices
- Understanding of scalable application design principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of OWL JS and jQuery is a strong plus
- Server maintenance skills are an added advantage
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Docker, Linux servers, and Odoo deployment
- Exposure to payment gateways, e-commerce, POS, or third-party integrations

Work Duration
Candidate will be working at UK hours, in local BD time from 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM.
